Therapy for Generalized Anxiety
Is Generalized Anxiety getting in your way?
Does any of this sound like you?
- You worry about all of the things… all of the time
- You can’t seem to turn your mind off long enough to get to sleep, or can’t stay asleep
- You always feel tired (even if you get enough sleep), constantly on edge, or both
- You feel like you can’t concentrate, no matter how hard you try
- Your muscles ache, even when they have no reason to
- You just want to be able to relax!
Anxiety is a human emotion that we all experience at times in our lives (this is actually a good thing!), but occasionally circumstances can lead to an increase in anxiety that feels miserable or downright intolerable.
Generalized anxiety may focus around:
- Your school or work performance
- Your health
- Your family’s health
- Your finances
- Your relationships
- Your day-to-day responsibilities
- Your future
Between work, school, family responsibilities, financial obligations, and on and on, it’s enough to make anyone feel stressed! But sometimes that stress can start to feel overwhelming.
If you suffer from Generalized Anxiety Disorder, you are not alone. According to the Anxiety & Depression Association of America, 3.1% of the US population (or 6.8 million adults) have GAD.
